We have finished the Spring 2010 semester and will be starting the Fall 2010 semester
on 08/23/2010.
I am providing a list of the classes that we recommend for our first semester
students, those of you who are already here should talk to your instructor for
recommendations.
As you all know the state budget is in very bad shape once again and the school
will be looking at classes with low
student numbers to close, to save money.
It is very important that you sign up and pay for your classes as soon as
possible. When you sign up for a class you only
have 3 working days to pay for the class, or you will be removed from the
roster, and replaced by someone who is on the
wait list. If you try to sign up for a class and the class is filled, put you
name on the wait list, if the wait list is filled
then show up for the first class and try to get an add code.
DO NOT wait until the first day of class to sign up for class, if you do you may
find that the class has been closed
because of low enrolment, or you may not be able to get an add code because the
class is full.
Another development is the possibility that the school may not allow us to add
students into classes on the first days of
class. Last semester we had to turn away students from the Machine Technology
Program because classes were filled
as of the first day of class.
Here is our recommended class schedule for
the First Semester Students in the Machine Technology Program, if you cannot
take all the classes we recommend at one time then take as many as possible.

I will be out of town

you call our telephone number and talk with my assistant Joshua Perry,
Joshua can be emailed at:

A Quick Tour of the Machine Technology Program
RUMOR CONTROL:
The Machine Technology Program at City College is NOT being permanently closed, no matter what rumor you have heard. We will be closed for the summer as usual, but we will be back for the fall semester.
The school district is permanently closing the adult education machining program (Continuing Education). This is not my decision, nor was I consulted about this decision in any way.
Hopefully the decision to close the Continuing Education Machining Program will have a minimal negative impact on City College's Machine Technology Program.
